Sta. Catalina High School
Quality education is the key to success in life. I strongly adhere to the thrust of the Department of Education that no child shall be left behind. So being a school head, it is one of my major mandates to ensure that all students learn with the partnership of the community and other school stakeholders as a whole.
Teachers’ dedication, resourcefulness and innovative skills to transfer knowledge to the students are significant factors in ensuring quality education. As head of Sta. Catalina High School, it is my responsibility to adopt new system of students’ learning by implementing the mandated reforms especially in this time of pandemic or the so-called “New Normal” Education. These have to be considerately applied in line with our chosen learning modality but taking into account strict health protocol mandated by the Inter-Agency task Force which are proven effective based on the school and community context.
Education is a fundamental aspect which every school needs to concretize despite its limited resources. We, at Sta. Catalina High School, really value the school to school partnership. The support of the local government has enabled our school to sustain enough vital resources to pursue education in this trying time. Productive collaborations between parents and teachers acknowledge the critical significance of everyone’s participation in the life and progress of a child. Their tangible supports in the school programs and projects have also made our school construct hand washing areas for self-hygiene and sanitation and purchase other materials relative to SLMs production for our learners. These remarkable collaborations of school, community, and stakeholders proved to be effective. These good practices which have been started years back at Sta. Catalina High School are properly accounted and attested in our School Board Management Reports.
The effective management of the school head with the unfading collaboration of the teachers, parents, and stakeholders are relentlessly performed to continuously improve achievement in the quality of instruction and welfare of our learners. These define and promote high trust and respect to the community to entrust the youth under our care, for I am a believer that the school and community act as one unit with partnership with all sectors of the community as essential in helping learners reach their maximum potential particularly in this time of pandemic.
Community collaboration with schools compliments and reinforces values, culture and the learning opportunities that the school can truly provide for our students. In other words, all of us-teachers, staff, parents, business nonprofit, service clubs and the like- working together, truly make a difference in the lives of our learners in this pandemic.
